top 10 books for entrepreneurs & developers

As a developer and a business owner, I spend hours reading the latest (and old) books, I’m always reading about building, marketing & investing in my business online & offline. So, I have put together my favourite book list for developers & entrepreneurs that I have read in 2016.

I have read all these books and have I learnt a lot thanks to their authors. As a side note if you are like me, a work addict, you may find you don’t have enough time to read a book every month. This is where this amazon helps, I generally go for a run 3 times a week and listen to my favorite audiobook on audible.

Growth Hacker Marketing: A Primer on the Future of PR, Marketing, and Advertising

Now this book I had to read twice to love it. If you are new to growth hacking this book will help you think about business in a different way. It certainly changed my life.

A new generation of megabrands like Facebook, Dropbox, Airbnb, and Twitter haven’t spent a dime on traditional marketing. No press releases, no TV commercials, no billboards. Instead, they rely on a new strategy—growth hacking—to reach many more people despite modest marketing budgets. Growth hackers have thrown out the old playbook and replaced it with tools that are testable, trackable, and scalable. They believe that products and businesses should be modified repeatedly until they’re primed to generate explosive reactions.

Soft Skills: The software developer’s life manual

As a developer, this is one of the best books I have ever read. It helps you think out of the box and deals with marketing, getting a job, investing your money & getting fit.

Soft Skills: The software developer’s life manual is a unique guide, offering techniques and practices for a more satisfying life as a professional software developer. In it, developer and life coach John Sonmez addresses a wide range of important “soft” topics, from career and productivity to personal finance and investing, and even fitness and relationships, all from a developer-centric viewpoint.

AskGaryVee: One Entrepreneur’s Take on Leadership, Social Media, and Self-Awareness

Some love him, some love to hate him whatever your opinion in this book he gives some great advice.

Gary Vaynerchuk—the inspiring and unconventional entrepreneur who introduced us to the concept of crush it—knows how to get things done, have fun, and be massively successful. A marketing and business genius, Gary had the foresight to go beyond traditional methods and use social media tools such as Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube to reach an untapped audience that continues to grow.
